Four brothers receive the habit at St Jodard

Published on March 31, 2019

The chapel of St Jean-Louis Bonnard in St Jodard was full on Laetare Sunday, as the friends and families of the novice brothers gathered to celebrate their clothing. The brothers also received new names during the ceremony.  Thus it was that Br Baudouin-Marie, Br Raphaël, Br Jean-Baptiste of the Lamb and Br Pacifique said goodbye to the melotte and received the habit of the brothers of St John.

Following the ceremony, the community assembled to give thanks during the Laetare Sunday Mass. Fr Thomas spoke in his homily about the mystery of the logic of gift.

A celebratory meal brought the day to a joyful close.
