The annual retreat is always a time of grace and renewal for the community of the Brothers of Saint John. They were able to welcome some brothers and sisters from other priories around France, deepening the family and fraternal atmosphere.

The retreat took place in Rimont between 8 and 12 February and was led by Father François Margeat of the Order of Discalced Carmelites. His retreat firstly focused on the life of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and her subsequent theology and spiritual thinking. Through his knowledge and experience of the spirit of Carmel, Father Margeat showed how Little Therese’s example can guide the brothers on their paths to holiness. He also nourished them with reflections on contemplative prayer for strength in times of spiritual trials and the graces that will follow. May we give thanks to God for this important time spent together as a family and assuring you of their prayers.
